Mario and Luigi RPG 4: Dream Adventure for Nintendo 3DS

About Mario and Luigi RPG 4: Dream Adventure for Nintendo 3DS

Mario and Luigi RPG 4 Dream Adventure is the Japanese release of Dream Team, the fourth main entry in the series. A holiday invitation brings the brothers to Piillo Island, where an ancient pillow using people once lived. When Peach is dragged into a dream by the villain Antasma, Luigi sleep becomes the doorway to rescue her. Mario adventures on the island and inside dreams in equal measure, freeing Piillo spirits as he goes.

Dream battles are the star. Dreamy Luigi joins Mario as a crowd, a giant and a set of shape shifting tools, and the Luiginary attacks turn that crowd into rolling balls, bouncing stacks and huge hammers. Outside dreams, the island offers towns, ruins and timing based Bros battles in the classic series style. This Japanese edition carries the same huge scope, gentle tutorials and long boss fights that made Dream Team a standout 3DS role playing game.

As a Japanese boxed release, Dream Adventure needs an import friendly seller. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, which means new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer who stocks Japanese Nintendo games. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so their island holiday and dream rescues remain ready whenever they return.

The dream journey under its Japanese number four name.
