Kersploosh! for Nintendo 3DS
About Kersploosh! for Nintendo 3DS
Kersploosh!, known as Splash or Crash in some regions, has one of the simplest premises on the 3DS. You drop a pebble, a paper plane or other small objects down a well and steer them as they fall, threading past wooden planks, cheese wheels and other strange obstacles floating in the shaft. The well seems endless and the fall grows faster and stranger the deeper you go. It is a tiny game with a single pure idea, executed with the polish and quiet charm that Nintendo brings to its smallest experiments.
You tilt and steer your falling object using the systems motion sensing or the circle pad, slipping through gaps and bouncing off nothing if you judge the angles right. Grazing obstacles closely builds speed and score, while hard hits slow you down and hurt your final time. Different objects fall differently, changing the feel of a run completely. Each well is short, which makes chasing a perfect descent dangerously addictive, since one more try is always seconds away. Online leaderboards in its day gave the simple fall a competitive edge for score hunters across the world.

Today the smart move is to shop for the boxed version. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible, full stop. A physical cartridge from a retailer or a trusted seller is how new players can join in now. If you bought the game digitally before the closure, you can still access your purchased games whenever you like.
One more drop quickly becomes twenty more drops.
