How to Train Your Dragon 2 for Nintendo Wii U

About How to Train Your Dragon 2 for Nintendo Wii U

How to Train Your Dragon 2 brings Berk and its dragon riders to the Wii U in an adventure built around flying. Hiccup and Toothless lead the cast as the village celebrates its favorite sport, dragon racing, while a grand tournament gives every rider a chance to shine. Fans of the film will feel at home right away, with familiar voices, faces and dragons filling the island. It is a bright and cheerful game made for younger Vikings.

Most of your time is spent in the air, racing through rings, collecting sheep and battling rivals in fast flying games. Each rider and dragon pair handles a little differently, so trying the whole roster is part of the fun. Between events you can explore Berk, find hidden spots and take part in training games that sharpen your flying. The controls stay friendly for children while still giving races real speed. It captures the joy of the films nicely, especially the bond between rider and dragon.

Modern buyers should start with the disc shelf. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, ending new digital purchases across the console. A physical disc from a retailer is the honest way to play it now, and copies turn up often in second hand shops. Players who bought it digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games as before.

Saddle up, take to the sky and race for the honor of Berk.
