Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure for Nintendo 3DS

About Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure for Nintendo 3DS

Dr Mario Miracle Cure brings the classic capsule dropping puzzle series to Nintendo 3DS with new tricks. Viruses fill your bottle at the start of each stage, and you drop two tone capsules to line up matching colors and clear them away. This edition adds Dr Luigi and his L shaped capsules from the Wii U game, plus a mission mode with hundreds of ready made challenges for solo players.

The big new idea is the miracle cure, a power that builds as you clear viruses and then unleashes screen clearing help like bombs and line blasts. Classic endless mode stays for purists, while versus play, local and online, brings back the series beloved head to head battles where cleared viruses drop junk into your rivals bottle. Simple to learn and endlessly replayable, it is the most complete Dr Mario package on a handheld. Miracle cures turn hopeless bottles into glorious comebacks.

Puzzle doctors face a digital only history with this entry. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible at all. The game lives on through systems where it was bought in time, since those players can still access their purchased games. When complete Nintendo 3DS systems change hands, this one is a common and welcome part of the library.

The most complete Dr Mario ever made for handhelds.
