Citizens of Earth for Nintendo Wii U

About Citizens of Earth for Nintendo Wii U

Citizens of Earth is a cheerful role playing game where you play as the Vice President of Earth itself. One morning the world has gone strangely wrong, and coffee shops, towns and roads are full of odd enemies and stranger events. Rather than fight alone, you recruit ordinary citizens to do the brave work for you. A barista, a teacher, a baker and many others join the cause, each bringing a funny and useful set of skills. The writing is light and playful from start to finish, full of jokes about politics, work and everyday life.

Battles are turn based and easy to follow, but the huge recruit roster keeps them fresh for a long time. Every citizen you recruit levels up, learns new moves and can help outside battle too, opening paths or crafting useful items. It is a long adventure, yet it never takes itself too seriously, which is a big part of its charm.

A quick honest note about getting this game now is important. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Wii U closed in March 2023, meaning new digital purchases are no longer possible for anyone. The honest way to play today is a physical disc found through a retailer or a reputable used game seller. Anyone who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games, so long time owners can return to their saved world whenever they like.

Few role playing games are this proud of being completely silly.
