Brilliant Hamsters! for Nintendo 3DS

About Brilliant Hamsters! for Nintendo 3DS

Brilliant Hamsters is a cute puzzle game built around one simple truth, hamsters love sunflower seeds and will do anything to reach them. Each stage shows a small cage world of tubes, doors, wheels and platforms, with tasty seeds placed just out of easy reach. Your job is to arrange the path so the hamsters can waddle safely to their snack. The art is soft and sweet, and the hamsters themselves are full of funny little animations that make even failed attempts charming to watch.

You interact by tapping and placing pieces, opening gates and timing moving parts so the hamsters roll, climb and drop where you want them. Later stages add several hamsters at once, each needing its own route to its own treat. Planning ahead matters, since one wrong gate can send a hamster happily marching in exactly the wrong direction. Stars reward tidy solutions, and quick retries keep the mood light when a plan falls apart. It is gentle brain exercise wrapped in pure cuteness.

This small and sweet puzzler is now a physical search. The Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS closed in March 2023, so new digital purchases are no longer possible. The honest way to play now is a physical cartridge from a retailer, though copies of such a small release can be hard to spot. Players who bought the game digitally before the closure can still access their purchased games on their system. Checking import and second hand shops gives the best chance.

It is tiny, tidy puzzling with maximum hamster charm.
